These pole are 4.2 meters long, large and heavy, to excercise one's strength. smile.gif

The wider end of the pole.

These pole just cannot be placed within one room. The best way to keep them is to hang them up, but we don't have that condition. sad.gif

They look white and round, very cute! Its a big challenge to lift it up by just holding one end, and "shake".

During my previous martial arts training, the elder classmate used to coat the staffs with [Fax seed oil (I think)] to harden the quality of the wood.

Q: Are you learning how to develop the "shake" energy?

What is Fax seed oil, could you tell me more about it?

There is a set exercise to develop shake jin, the motion is "Lan Na Zha", use white wax pole or with a spearhead on the top. There are also other forms which can help one to learn and practice taiji Jin. This forum is too small for attaching pictures, if you can view site www.ctwenhua.com, I attach some pics of the pole's form for you. ((smile.gif))

What you are describing is the da Qiang or great spear or big lance whichever you prefer.
This weapon is popular with the dispatching of calvary.

The weapon is a favorite of mine due to the fajing generation and the cultivation of internal as well as external strength i train it daily in order to maintain power generation.

Well, technically, any 'qiang' be it da or otherwise are more commonly an infantry weapon. The Daqiang, considering its origin, is very much a civilian one. When talking about anti-cavalry weapons, it is normally either the Shuo or the Mou.

But then, thats me being a nitpicking poohead.
