Thanks.

As a Qiang and jian player, do appreciate any tidbits on various spear and swordplay.

Q: Presume you're ChenT/J player, what other style of IMA do you currently practice and play?

Q: Have you studied the Chen T/J White Ape spear exercise?

While this Cardinal's spear training (Qiang fa) is consisted of exercises from many diff. sys. the
IMA training is consisted of Sun Baguazhang, Jiang Baguazhang (72 Kicks set), Bagua Zhuan Jian and other unique IMA stuf.

My favorite Qiang is a Desert Eagle .357 [LoL!]

Q: Have you seen the Chen Taiji's White Ape weapon set?

What's "a Desert Eagle ", do you have pics of it?

I know the White Ape and Lihua Qiang set, my sifu used to teach some of it, but mainly we practice quan and white wax pole.

May I ask whom do you learn Baguazhang from? smile.gif

Learned my Jiang BGZ from a student of a HK teacher named Wu who studied with Jiang when he was in Shanghai.

Learned my Sun BGZ from a friend's grandfather who studied with a student of Sun Lu Tang.

Other than that, my lineage in terms of IMA teachers is barely visible.

Just play BGZ as a hobby.

Desert Eagle is a great implement for target practice.

Prefer using the .357 shell.

As a Wing Chun practitioner (as well as a Baji Quan practitioner), I can say that if you look at the Wing Chun staff techniques, they are actually spear movements. It is evident as there is a lot of thrusting and parrying.
