Ahh the Kabba cube.

What is it made out of, what's in it?

That's something really special about Islam, once-a-lifetime pilgrimage. :)

kaaba is made up of granite, inside the floor is marbled with the top of the kaaba in the interior covered with quranic verses...it is otherwise empty and muslims pray towards the direct of the kaaba in another words at the kaaba.

you can also take a pilgrimage to taishan to huashan to lhasa to jerusalem or the vatican too=)

I realize all Muslims aspire to make a pilgrimage to the Kaaba at least once, but for what reason? what is its significance? (as in what happened within? what is housed within it? etc) :g:

Depends on how one looks at it, defenders of the Muslim faith either never existed even back then, or continue to exist even today ... ;)

OK, you've now answered what is (or isn't) in it, so now what is its significance, but why this block of granite? What is its relevance to the story of Mohammed?

So, the Kabbah is simply a representation of the house of Allah. Thanks.
