Hi all, I would like to recommend members to view the digital archive of the Toyo Bunko Library. The library has about a 100 old rare Asian and Chinese History books, maps and photo albums all in European languages from the famous George Ernest Morrison collection. George Morrison was a 19thCentury Australian Adventurer and advisor to Yuan Shi Kai in the Republic period. He amassed a collection of over 24.000 books. A sellection of these books, maps and photos are avaliable free on line.

A must read for Chinese History buffs.

If the link doesn't work then just Google Toyo Bunko Digital Archive.

Terrific! Thanks for the link, changsham.

I've heard of the library but hadn't kept track of developments. Great to have free access to it online, I'll spend many hours there!
