Hi, with the hacker attack, I completely forgot to send photos to go with the travel notes I wrote for the newsletter. Here are some photos from my last visit to China, to give an idea of where I was. Also a few of my oil paintings. They are just photos of the paintings, not very good. And I make no claim to do real art, I'm just a self-taught amateur. Here is the link.

These really are some of the best architectural photos out of China I have seen for a long time. You deserve hearty congratulations. Am I to understand there is some commentary or photo story for publication in the newsletter?

The commentary already got published, in the last newsletter, a few sort of notes and impressions of the places in these photos, and I just didn't get round to sending the photos I thought should go with the story, and then there was the hacker attack and I forgot about the newsletter until it was too late, but I thought I'd post some photos anyway, so that if you read the newsletter, you can picture a bit what sort of places I went to. I'm a big fan of photographing streets and buildings (I use the photos for painting later). I will go to China again soon, and maybe will find more good places. Ah, and it will be warm this time.

Thanks to everyone for your comments.

I would be too lazy to take my painting stuff with me anywhere. The most I ever do is pencil sketch somewhere. I paint in my kitchen, which is very sunny, good light. I use my photos as a base, though I change things, (take out cars, advertising, stuff like that).
