Bai Traditional Dress - How far back does it go?

I'm curious how far back Bai [白族] traditional dress goes. The clothing I'm referring to can be seen in the pictures below. I specifically want to know if the Bai people wore this kind of dress during the Nanzhao Kingdom period (which IIRC began in 737 CE), or if this style of dress has more recent origins. If the Bai didn't wear this kind of dress during the Nanzhao era, what style clothing did they wear?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
