Since I am on Thanksgiving break, I have became a slacker. I decided to draw something to kill my time, you know? I did sketched Tang soldiers attacking Koguryo citywall, but I lacked good reference of Tang soldiers and Koguryo stuff. I spent my time on searching for references here but most images are missing.

My sketch isn't really accurate. Tang soldier looks like he's from Song or something. I added feathers(peacock?) to Koguryo soldier's hat because he looked funny without feathers to me.

Anyone can provide good references? I will try to scan my sketch of Tang attacking Koguryo city wall.

My sketch isn't really accurate. Tang soldier looks like he's from Song or something.

actaully, judging by the design of the sword, it looks more like Ming.

[Update 1]

I have finished sketching the part of the Great Battle of Salsu comic. I didn't know any battles between Tang and Koguryo so I decided to go to Sui for the Great Battle of Sulsa. The comic only took me around one hour and half. I am currently considering about inking and finalizing the comic, but I'd like to have feedbacks and corrections from you guys. Also, I must admit that I'm influenced by Mitsuteru Yokoyama.

Thanks for references :D

Now I am trying to clear my version of Koguryo. Also, about Tang reference, I have been switched to Sui. Are Sui and Tang still same, anyway?

[Update 2]

After doing little research on Sui and Koguryo military, I definitely am going to use those designs for the final comic. My friend said he want to see more panels of fighting in the comic, rather than few panels of fighting. I assume the final comic may take me one or two days (I don't know)...

Very nice. I really like the look. Cartoony without being too cartoon. Sigh, I am being obtuse. No, wait, I am not even sure I know what I am talking about. :g:
